Obesity and Breast Cancer
Check out our wonderful team of Dr. Laila Farhat and nutritionist Kiran Mushtaq at our latest lecture about the connection between obesity and breast cancer!
Here are some key points from our lecture:
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer accounts for about 30% (or 1 in 3) of all new female cancers each year. There are many causes of breast cancer and though you cannot change your genes, you can make your lifestyle more healthy by regulating what you eat and how much you exercise.
It is so important that you eat real food; in other words, eat food as close to its original form. Make sure that the food you are eating is in its healthiest form. Try starting by adding food high in antioxidants like broccoli, spinach, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, asparagus, avocados, beetroot, lettuce, kale, vitamin C, and vitamin E into your diet.
Our team, here at JanaHealthCare, is committed to your health. We understand that weight loss is hard and because we understand how important it is to be leading a healthy lifestyle we want to invite you into our office if you are having any trouble on your journey.
